If you love fruit and yogurt I can almost guarantee you will go crazy for this side item. Like the title claims, it is literally like fruit salad on crack – which I guess is a good thing? But this, I can assure you, IS GREAT.
I recently made this for a friend of mine who was kind enough to cook us dinner, to bring as a side item.
She is a really good cook so I was fairly convinced it would be kind of sub-par and I thought I might be a little embarrassed by it.
To my suprise, she and her mate LOVED it, and couldn’t stop eating it.
They said, “this is crack salad.”
She demanded the recipe and even offered one of her own highly coveted ones in return, so that’s how I know she wasn’t just being nice.
I actually made this recipe up myself, so I am pretty proud of the results.
I invented a mixture of something a friend of mine had made that is a loose version of what they call Bionicos in Mexico.
I didn’t want to use quite as much cream and fatty ingredients so I subbed out some of their version with yogurt.
I find myself making this very often and not being able to stop myself from eating it all.
I gift this wonderful fruit dish to you, and hope you enjoy it!

Crack Salad
The most addictive, delicious fruit salad you've ever had.
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup yogurt
- 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/8 cup honey
- 1lb strawberries, sliced
- 2 bananas, sliced
- 15oz mandarin orange can, drained
- 6oz blueberries
Instructions
- Mix yogurt, sweetened condensed milk, sour cream, and heavy cream together in a blender or by hand with a whisk. Liquid should be thicker than milk but runnier than sour cream.
- Add honey to taste.
- Cut fruit to desired size.
- Add mixture to fruit and let it sit in the fridge for 2 hours to absorb the flavors.
- Eat and enjoy.
Notes
You may switch out any fruits you prefer.
To prevent the bananas from browning, soak them in lemon juice.
I drain the excess off so that it isn't drowning in liquid.
