Hubby and I are always on the lookout for quick and easy food and dessert (low-cal is just a bonus) ideas. Here’s one that we make many nights out of the week when you need a little something sweet but don’t necessarily want a bowl of ice cream.

Nutty Yogurt Dessert

Yield: 6 servings
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

A yummy alternative to ice cream or something heavier - this is a healthy option that tastes great.


  • 2 1/2 cups yogurt (greek yogurt is best)
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Topping:
  • Fruit of your choice
  • Almond slices (optional)


    Mix all ingredients (except Toppings) in a blender until smooth.
    Top with garnish/fruit of your choice.
    Eat and Enjoy!
